Hi Mary, Yes, Wet & Forget Moss Mold Mildew And Algae Stain Remover can be used on outdoor patio cushions. For best results, apply to a dry surface and leave it. The next day as a precaution, rinse the surface with water before someone sits on the cushions. Over time, the wind and the rain will gently rinse and scrub to remove the green and black stains.

Yes, Wet & Forget is perfectly fine to use on pontoon boat seats. For best results, apply Wet & Forget to dry seats and allow the application to fully dry. The next day, rinse the surface with water. Over time as the surface becomes wet again and agitated from the rain (or a hose) the dead growth will slowly wash away.

Wished i found this product eArler. ~ I have just had my vinal siding professionally power washed for the first time. they used a commercial grade chlorine. The vinal seems to be in good shape, still just has a chalky on The surface. (1) will this product make it go away? (2) Can this product be used for preventive maintenance? Wet it and forget, Info states it Works on just about every surface. (3) question is it ok to get it on glass windows? Does it affect the clear view or grime them up?

Wet & Forget Moss Mold Mildew & Algae Stain Remover only removes organic growth so you won’t have results on the oxidation or chalkiness. Wet & Forget properly cleans the organic growth stains so we typically see surfaces staying cleaning around 12 to 16 months depending on your climate. Wet & Forget is also safe to use on glass surfaces, it will not etch the glass or damage the surface. You may need to rinse the glass the next day if spotting occurs.

You would want to apply Wet & Forget before working with mortar on your unfinished bricks. Wet & Forget will work on a flat tar roof, as well as any other type of roof. I would apply after re-tarring the roof at the first sign of green algae, moss, or mold.

I want to use Wet and forget on our boat seats. what is the best way to apply it. i usually clean the seats and then put shaving cream on the seats, to make it easy to wipe off all boat season. do I need to use the shaving cream, or will the wet and forget work all season?

    Reply
    1. Wet And Forget

      Hi Nancy,
For boat seats, you want to apply Wet & Forget and leave it to dry. The next day before someone sits on the seats, rinse them down with water. Wet & Forget will continue to work with the wind and the rain, or if the seats will remain mostly covered from the weather, I would do some rinsing and scrubbing with a brush about a week after applying to help remove the staining. I wouldn’t recommend using shaving cream.

Which of your products should i use to remove mold on the painted wood ceiling of my Open porch? The ceiling is painted with exterior paint. Since it won’t get rain or wind to aid in the mold removal will i need to scrub it or can i just spray it? Will it take multiple applications since it is a ceiling and the product won’t remain in contact with the surface very long? Thanks.

    Reply
    1. Wet And Forget

      Hi Susan,
For an exterior painted wood ceiling, you will want to use our exterior Wet & Forget Moss Mold Mildew & Algae Stain Remover product. Spray the surface and leave it. After about a week you can rinse the area with a hose on a jet setting or do some scrubbing to help remove the dead growth that the rain won’t be able to reach. You may need to rinse a few times every so often for the dead growth to come off.

How should this product be used on vinyl pontoon seats?

    Reply
    1. Wet And Forget

      Hi Trent,
When using Wet And Forget to clean up your vinyl boat seats, you want to follow a few steps. I would first apply to the seats when they are dry. Completely saturate the seats and leave them to dry. Next, you’ll want to consider that Wet & Forget works with the rain and usually boats remain covered when put away. With seats never being hit by the rain, I’ll go back to my application about a week later and do some rinsing and scrubbing of my own to help remove the dead growth that the rain hasn’t. If there’s still some black stains remaining, I’ll wait another week and then go back and do some rinsing and scrubbing again as the growth decays over time making it easier to lift off the surface. This process should leave you with spotless vinyl pontoon seats.

      Hi Rich,
Wet & Forget Outdoor can be used on pretty much any exterior surface. The only time this slightly changes is if you’re in California, as the California EPA is a little different. In California you should only apply Wet & Forget to exterior sealed surfaces. Unsealed natural stone is 100% safe to use Wet & Forget on, but if you’re in California we would recommend the directions that are on the label.

      Hi Susan,
We recommend using Wet & Forget Outdoor on your clay tile roof and applying with a garden pump sprayer or backpack sprayer. Wet & Forget is not designed as a preventative, however since Wet & Forget cleans the surface properly it can keep growth away for 12-18 months. On a painted concrete lanai floor we would recommend using Wet & Forget Outdoor with a garden pump sprayer or backpack sprayer as well. If the lanai floor does not see direct rain or wind, we would recommend going back about a week after you apply and rinsing the surface with a hose on a jet setting. We would also recommend repeating this rinsing process periodically. On this surface, Wet & Forget can keep growth away for 12-18 months.
