Lake Stevens is up in the northwestern corner of the state of Washington, meaning its 26,000 residents are more accustomed to rainfall than others. With this rain comes moss, mold, mildew and algae that can be an unsightly nuisance on Pacific Northwest homes. This is where Wet & Forget comes in. The ultimate outdoor moss, mold, mildew and algae stain remover thrives in climates like Washington’s, as one Lake Stevens resident recently discovered.
We got a chance to chat with Ray, a man who began the Wet & Forget application process as a skeptic and came away a believer!
Q: Ray, can you describe your home a little bit, as well as the surfaces that were affected with moss and mold?
A: My property is somewhere between 6.5 – 7 acres in the country in Washington. Up here, we get a ton of rain, which makes everything green and moldy. My home had some outdoor growths (of both the green and black variety) on the patio. I applied for the first time a while back and just finished putting a second coat on the black mold.
Q: What cleaning methods did you try before you used Wet & Forget?
A: I’ve tried bleach in the past. That was a pain in the butt. I’ve also tried pressure washing, which worked temporarily but required thousands of gallons of water.
Q: How did you hear about Wet & Forget, and where did you purchase it?
A: I read about it in the Costco magazine, and I purchased it at my local Costco.
Q: Were you skeptical when you first heard about the no-fuss application process?
A: To be honest with you, yes I was! I saw [Wet & Forget founder Rod Jenden] applying the product in the Costco magazine, but other than that I didn’t know much about it. My thought process when I first purchased Wet & Forget was “Yeah, sure, whatever. I don’t have anything to lose, I might as well give it a shot.”
Then, after I applied it I became even more skeptical when my patio turned a different color. I even called Wet & Forget to make sure the discoloration was supposed to happen. They assured me that it was, and a few days later, I couldn’t believe the results! The product did exactly what it claimed to do.
Q: Are you satisfied with the performance of Wet & Forget Outdoor Cleaner? Do you plan to use it again?
Extremely satisfied, and yes, I am definitely a repeat user. A couple things I’ve found since I started using it
- Time is your friend with Wet & Forget. You have to be patient. If you are, you’ll see better results than you get with bleaching or pressure washing, for much less effort.
- You have to make sure you do everything the label tells you to do. As long as you can follow directions, you’ll be hooked on a wonderful product.
