Is Wet and Forget safe to use around my pets?

goldenretrieverWe’ve gotten numerous inquiries from some of you who are ready to apply Wet & Forget but want to know if it’s at all harmful to your pets. Here’s your answer!

You only need to keep pets off the surface during the time it takes Wet & Forget to dry, which is between 4 and 5 hours. Once the drying time has elapsed, both people and pets are free to walk on the surface that was sprayed with Wet & Forget. It is also safe for people and pets to be on the treated surface after subsequent rainfalls.

Hi – If I use W&F on a composite deck, will our dog be harmed if he drinks the water on the deck after it has been applied (and after the dry time) ?

    Hi Rick,
Thanks for contacting us with your question. We recommend keeping people, and animals off of the deck while you are applying the Wet & Forget and while it dries. Drying time for Wet & Forget is about 4 to 5 hours. If you have water containers on the deck that your pet drinks from, we would recommend removing these containers while you are applying Wet & Forget and during the drying time. Once the Wet & Forget has dried, people and pets can be on the surface, even if the surfaces become wet again from future rainfall. If you have any further questions or concerns, please let us know.

I want to use this on my boat. After it dries and runoff from the boat will be in the water is that ok?

    Hi Alan,
Thanks for contacting us with your question. Yes, you can use Wet & Forget on your boat. Wet & Forget is a gentle process that works over time with the wind and rain. We do recommend following the application instructions on our label and apply the Wet & Forget to your boat when it is out of the water. Once the Wet & Forget has dried, you can put the boat back in the water again. The best time to apply Wet & Forget is prior to putting your boat into the water for the season. That way, the exposure to water and rain during the boating season will work with the Wet & Forget to clean the mold and mildew from the surface. If you have any further questions or concerns, please let us know.
