FAQ: How to address foaming in your pump-up sprayer

30 August 2010 2 Comments

As you know, Wet & Forget should not be used with a hose-end sprayer. In a past blog article, All About Sprayers, we wrote about the acceptable options for W&F applications. A pump-up sprayer is one of them.

With the proper dilution ratio, Wet & Forget is immensely effective against your outdoor moss and mold. But between the dilution step and the application step, a hiccup can arise in the form of foam. Here’s how to address it:

Q: We are trying to use Wet & Forget in a pump-up sprayer and are having problems with it foaming really bad. What are we doing wrong or should we be doing something different?

A: If you are having trouble with foaming in the tank, please follow these instructions:

  1. Fill the tank 3/4 full of water
  2. Add your Wet & Forget concentrate
  3. Fill the water the rest of the way

This should help decrease the foaming!

    Karl,

You certainly can! Just make sure to allow 4-5 hours of drying time before you walk on the surfaces. Thanks for writing in!
